Jozani-Chwaka Bay National Park is Zanzibar's only national park and the last refuge of the rare Zanzibar red colobus monkey — found nowhere else on Earth. The forest also shelters bushbabies, sykes monkeys, and hundreds of bird species amid ancient mahogany and fig trees.

Travel Tips

Monkeys are most active in the morning. The park has guides available at the entrance. Combine with a trip to Paje beach on the same day.
